hi there, i'm new to the forum so i'm hoping this thread is in the right place!
i'm thinking of putting a 2.0L block from a 1990 (thereabouts) Audi 80 into one of my golfs. Apparently with a MK3 1.9 diesel gear box this makes for quite a nice mod!
Anyway, Its a MK2 GTI 8V, and i've been told the block is slightly taller, so i MIGHT need a MK3 manifold in order to clear the cross member???
If anyone has any knowledge on the subject your help will be much appreciated!
