Repairing wiring

Whats the norm when it comes to repairing connecttions on a vw on the gf polo the reverse switch wires have worn through and corroded big time nothing left to work with in terms of soldering back togehter i have tryed to fix it but it looked a right bodge job and eventually fell apart in my hands I hate bodging stuff so was wondering  Can you buy vw repair kits or the only other thing I can think of is cutting it off a car being broken for parts

how much of the wires left? could always cut it back untill its a good peice of wire and crimp in a new peice of wire i.e

  old            new              old

Be a man a get a soldiering iron and shrink wrap!
Crimps are for wimps

buy new plug and inserts,  then colder and heatshrink idealy glue lined  or get hetshrink coverd crimps

There's nothing left of the wiring that comes out the plug it's well and truly knackerd I would have solderd to it but I've just got the plastic bit with no wire coming out of it

I really don't like crimp connectors i will be soldering it and covering it with  heat shrink just need a new plug with wires coming out of it :/

Doing it properly is the only way to roll!
I hate crimps you have to butcher the crimp just to get it to hold and then it can work its way loose!
