drivers door module

i need to replace the door module on my 5 door 1.8t just wanted to ask if i can replace it with any 5 door module off another mk4 or do i need to same part number? just saves me taking it apart to get the part number putting it back together til i have the part and repeating the process again.

Yes as long as it's a 5 door module from the same side and position. I believe the later versions were revised to stop the problems with the solder joints etc.

My passenger side module has just gone along with my drivers rear and my passenger rear handle :angry:

pretty sure you can use a 3 door one aswell. I've certainly used 5dr ones in a 3dr in the past, just a case of swapping over the cable for the interior door trigger.
