help car id beeping at me

changed the clock the other day as the fual guage was playing up put the new clocks on and now i have the oil can flashing at me and it it beeping i am losing water from the rad i think

but that will be sorted soon

why is the oil can flashing and beeping at me?? the clock is an older one as the oid one in the car has led's in this one has bulbs
any help would be good

That beeping usually means low oil pressure,dont know why changing the clocks would cause this.

how do i check oil pressure?

what clocks did you fit :

the sensor is mounted on the block on the 8v and the wires are prone to brake then it sends off the alarm

other ways this alarm can sound is if you fit GTI clocks into a non GTI which does not have the same sensors as the GTI.. hence the alarm going off because it can read a signal

its a 1.6 8v and if i put a gti sensor in will that stop it??

If it is GTI clocks you will need the matching sensor unless you have another problem maybe

Speaker is solders to the board my radiator had just sprang a leak fairy loosing water for the last 6 weeks could nod find out where I was going was doing my nut on now I know got a new one off flee bay could that be y my car was shouting at me???

I had to do this to my mates Vivaro van last week after he had the ecu reprogrammed at the dealers. When he got it back it aquired a new speed activated buzzer once you went over 70mph - very fvcking annoying on the motorway as it was really high pitched and continual until you dropped below. Now ive ripped the tiny speaker out of the clocks it just means he's lost the 'lights on warning buzzer' which would normally come on when the door is opening and keys removed from the ignition.
