Evening all.
I seem to be having a lot of trouble with the coil overs on my vr6, they are the Jom budget ones so granted they are not the best in the world nor do I expect them to be!
Took the car to have the alignment done and was told that the track rod ends needed replacing, and the top mounts needed changing too...
Sorted all that out and took the car to Merritt tyre last week to have the alignment done, the guy told me that he battled to get the track rod ends loose but did manage to eventually adjust them in the end. When I got the car on the road it was pulling badly to the left so took it back and asked him to give it another go... Which they did! Back on the road again and it was still pulling left! So off it went again. After having it done this time the. Guy says to me that there is something not write... He says to me that the stabiliser bar under the engine is bowed and the ball joints are at breaking point... And that the car is sitting to low!
I baffled by this as I had no trouble with these coil overs on my gti but have endless grief with them on the vr6!
Also looking at the top mounts there is a rather large gap that doesn't look write to me... Can someone shed some light on this?
