Anyone selling a coilover kit for Mk1 Cabrio?
« on: 17 May 2005, 20:13 »
Hi all

I need to replace front 2 shockers on the cab and think its a perfect time to whack on some coilovers - If I had the money I'd got for a set of new FK's but I'm a little strapped. If you know anyone who may be selling a set please let me know.
My email is: shamburhm@hotmail.com

Thanks

I know the prices from all the big names and I've had FK's before on my VR, would definitely have em again, just hoped someone may a 2nd hand pair selling but it looks like I'm gonna have to cough up cash. GWENT VW have some good offers, so maybe I'll do that in a few months - in the meantime keep your eyes and ears open for anyone selling.

Thanks guys!

I will be selling my coilovers beginning of September. They are KW Variant 2 top adjustable. They are in like new condition and most important they are inox.

Try to adjust a coilover after a few months. You will find that the threads are rusted and you need to remove it completely and try to clean the threads. With the KW this will never happen

Pic for motivation.... My previous setup Weitec Hikon TX fully adjustable VS new KW V2.

1.8L 8V Digifart, AMS chip, Kent 270 camshaft, TT Adjustable Cam Gear, Supersprint Header with supersprint catless system, BMW AFM, Adjustable FPR. G60 Green 23lb injectors coming soon.... =)

alright black_cabbie?

thanks for the note on coilovers, although i've heard they are quite harsh! I'm likely to fork out for a new set of FK's Highsports to be honest, only not just yet....If I'm interested and you still have them come September I'll drop you an email

Cheers!
