Not sure if other vws have similar filter set up to the 6n polo but I'd they have might be a idea to check them if you have a high fuel cobsumptions or mysterious leak marks on drive.
My 6n developed a slight missfire and struggled to start straight away untill pressure built up.
On inspection I found a pin hole leak in the casing of the fuel filter this was a mahle replacement part replaced 6 weeks ago when I serviced the car so just a heads up for anyone having similar problems or smelling fuel.
