I hate that feeling!
« on: 16 April 2012, 13:39 »
When you have just done a cambelt or a big job on an engine (i have just put a new head on a focus) And everything is all back together..... And your about to turn the key for the first time!

As much as i double check everything,  and despite the fact this is my job and i do these things every day,  the moment i turn that key still bloody sh*ts me up   And to top it off this time the battery was flat

10 golfs and counting!

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

lol!  Well it worked fine!  I had 4 left over bolts, turns out they were off the old head, so that's fine.

I call spare bolts wee bits,  they go weeeee over my shoulder.

Think yourself lucky, i work for a large haulage firm and one of the DAF XF's had to be towed to a main dealer over the weekend because our on site workshop had put a new set of brake pads in.........back to front..................new discs/calipers/carriers and associated pipework because the whole lot had got too hot..
