In my opinion I think that the thicker the foam the better chance it has of doing its jobs properly - pre-wash - thus the paint work enduring scratches when in contact with a wash mitt.

On DW forum, in the Polished Bliss section there is a post on how to service your PA foam lance ( http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=257541 ) and I am glad this was posted as my PA foam lance was not performing very well. So I followed the procedure in the video and rejuvenated it. I can't test it as we have a hosepipe ban, but fingers crossed.

Ta for that, will keep it in mind if my lance ever needs a service LOL
