just a quick hi my names Jamie im 29 from leek, i drive a mk4 golf 1.8t which ive owed for about 1 month and ive been surprised how unreliable they are 1 month of ownership ive already had to folk out £368 on brakes, brake lines and fuel pump. not a good start tbh coming from a e46 bmw 330ci which i owned for 3 years and it never put a foot wrong.

i swapped the car + £2500 for my e46 bmw 330ci m-sport it. wish i hadn't tbh but cant afford a new car at the min and garages want obscene amounts of money so i thought join a forum and learn abit.

welcome dude,yeah if the previous owner looked after the golf you wouldn't had to spend some monies on it to get it sorted.this is always the problem with second hand cars,in your own time your golf will run spot on and be yours.
