Water leak thru the clutch cable
« on: 07 April 2012, 21:23 »
seal looks intact,

both drains clear

but its pooling round the gromet in the scuttle ,

then leaking thru, dripping down the cable and dropping off the pedal

anyone used sealant without effecting the cable ?

not worth buying a new cable, cheap enough and have new grommets?

Put a tiny bit of sealant around the edge of the grommet as well, when you fit the new one.

Best sealant I've used Chuff is called CJ1 its trade stuff and you can buy it in clear, which will seal up any tug boats out there. The gromets are cheap as chips and its more likely the gromet has shrunken due to age
