Mk5 Gt sport Brake light switch.. Where is it??

Right ive got the glow plug light light flashing on my goof, gonna change the switch to rule that out, but i cant find it, all the internet says is its on the pedal, but mine isnt, So any one know where it is????

Ive looked there, my pedal is not like that one it just stops at the bit where it attaches to the body at the pivot point, will have a better look in the morning,

No worries - sorry I couldn't help more.

There was someone who once told me that on VW cars beyond 2008 the brake switch was moved to the master cylinder??? Not sure why they would do that as every car I've known has had it attached to the area on the pedal...

I'm sure someone more knowledgable will be along in a bit !

Here you go - given I'm burning time until some relatives go (!) - it does seem that it's attached ot the master cylinder???

Found it, its a right pain in the ass to get to if you have big hands, and no lift, as you have to get at it from the bottom up, remove the bottom cover and reach high up inside the engine bay,

So thats 1 problem sorted, its in at Listers Coventry for a ecu read and a forced dpf regeneration, Then its going to be removed and re mapped,  :laugh:
