I'd say an immobiliser issue? Are you using key and transponder etc?

yea using key and transponder from the mk3 all the wiring is there, surely it wouldnt start at all if it was an immobiliser problem??

so its def an immobilser fault then, ive taken the loom from the mk3 complete and plugged it back up exactly the same way, is there something that needs changing when fitting into a mk2?

I would get the ECU de-immobilised by Unitedmotorsport. Recommended over on the mk2vr6 forum. Because power to ECU went and things were unplugged it has probably reset itself or some other weird electronic wizardry has happened.

There's very little 'weird electronic wizardry' that can take place.

so its def an immobilser fault then, ive taken the loom from the mk3 complete and plugged it back up exactly the same way, is there something that needs changing when fitting into a mk2?

Did you get the immobiliser box, key and transponder loop from around the ignition lock?

If not that is why is won't run - no go code from the immobiliser box.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.
