There are some tw*ts out there.  I wonder how they by-passed the alarm then as it doesn't seem like they had the keys.

^ alarms aint perfect..

i been told that you can spray in expanding foam to stop the siren..
the wiring cant be hard to reverse for a pro..

A good case for not just relying on an alarm then I reckon.    They must have done something funky then as you would think that the alarm would go off when they entered the vehicle so I can't see how they could get in and reverse the wires at that point.  :undecided:

These days you need to alarm, immobilise and crook lock them at the very minimum.

^ yeah true.. physically security..  still people have their cars taken from garages n all sorts..
depends how determined you are

vehicle entry is the easiest part.. my dads mate has a two full sets of key pick thingys.. cost him a bomb!
useful if you're in the trade.. saved his ass a few times when he's locked himself out of peoples cars

not sure about the alarm disabling part.. dont know how they wire up..

the clifford g4 i put on my old polo came with a bonnet sensor.. my current toad doesnt have one..
but it seems to have much better ultrasonics

the only trick i've heard for getting alarmed cars away fast is to jack/winch them up on the front and pray they dont have the tilt sensor.. then they can be wheeled away in relative silence to somewhere remote for de-alarming/stripping etc..

a few months back we had a car dumped where i work (private car park).. it was locked and steering lock was on..  we borrowed a trolley jack and moved it out into the main road outside on double yellows then got the council to tow it away

absolute wayne kerrs, and i bet the cops wont be out lookin for it,

u cant beat an od fuel pump switch here and there, nicely hidden, also take a few fuses out the box when u leave ur car long periods

Can't think of a funy or whitty comment

it doesnt even look fast! looks like some standard golf!!

you can bypass immobilisers just like that not if it was cat 1! 2 open the bonnet on the mk 3 you have to get into the car to do that the alarm would go off! unless its just a clifford matrix alarm and he forgot to arm it thats the only explination! and he lives in a dead end street!!!!

other than that on inspection of my toad cat2 on the gti its wired in the loom and would take a while to bypass....... a good half hour!

cliffords are really loud, so how they nicked it outside his house and he was watching them i dont know!

put it this way if someone gets in our vr6 or any of our cars or if we hear our alarms going off which they will do as they are park all off road on on drive!

we go out all guns blazing! even if someone steps on my property they will end up done over!
i wont take any s***! i treat my property like a spider treats its web! what ever or who ever comes on it gets attacked! thats natures law self defense! if a spider doesnt give a s*** then neither do i!

and neither would anyone else on this forum!!
