Hi I have recently bought this golf mk3 1.8 - badged up as a gti.
I saw the car pop up on autotrader went to view it and bought it straight away, without looking over it for £675 with a years MOT and 3 months tax.
I gave it a clean and polish and here it is....

Sitting on adjustable coilovers, rial 15" rims sprayed black with 2cm spacers on the rear wheels, grooved front brake discs, a carbon effect strut bar, a straight through exhaust from the cat to a powerflow back box and a twin scorpion muffler ends welded on with a spark plug in the exhaust ( which im guessing was for a flame kit) it has genuine gti interior, a volt meter built into the dash and a blue mushroom air filter.

I added my car audio which gives it a nice sound running 4000w

Bad points : the alternator bracket had cracked which was sending the belt to one side and causing a very loud screeching. cost me £88 to get a new one from volkswagon.
The carberetta flange had seen better days so replaced that at £25
Within a month i had two front tires bald on the inside/outside, i have sorted that out at a cost of £19 new steering arm and track rod end.
a slight bit of rust bubble on the drivers side front wing might have a picture....
The front splitter was missing, and a lovely scrape down the front bumper.

All in all a lovely car! im so glad i bought it as i have always wanted a golf mk3 but could never find a 3 door cheap enough to insure! and i wouldnt settle for a 5 door.

Things im going to be doing -
New rims with stretched tires
lower it even more
roll the arches more
brake disc upgrade on the rear
im thinking of a showcage
front splitter
carbon effect the bottom fenders and colour code the door plastics
colour code the wing mirrors
engine upgrades
stickers!

if you have any parts for sale that would fit on this car jus let me know as my ideas are still open for making it a custom car.....

Looks a nice motor esp for the money someone has spent some time and money on it, Mk3s can be had for very little money and are a cracking car, Im looking for a Mk3 diesel to play with and use as a daily,

thanks for the replies guys
i would drop it on it nuts but wen i bought the car he never gave me the adjuster tool, looks a bit like a spanner i think? i have tried to get a flat head screw driver and a hammer to nock the adjusters down but they would not budge!
any ideas how this can be done without the spanner tool?
