We could turn this thread into an ITG filter discussion thread and direct any info about the sale to the sales thread at
http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=225410.0
That way it may keep Admin and global moderators content andmeens anyone searching for info on ITG filter for a mk6 golf GTI in the future should be able to find this thread

Thanks. Does this have any real performance benefits at stage 1?

I previously looked at CAIs but I couldn't decide whether or not to go for one with a stage 1 map. So far, I have booked in for the map, so for this price if there will be a benefit I may go for it.

Previously my car had recorded peak airflow across the maf of 197g/s, immediately this has increased to a new peak of 213g/s from the logging I did on my way home, so a very health increase of a stage 1 mapped car.  :happy2:

i tried this on standard map and to be honest was very little difference. maybe slightly more top end pull

with a remap there is more top end but for me its too noisy.

If the car is standard (software wise) then there is no point in fitting the intake as the ECU will map out the increased airflow.

On a remapped car it will make a healthy difference.

This is a margin price for one of these as they aren't going to be available from ITG directly anymore, only VW Racing will be selling them in the future so prices will be higher.
