when i did the pcv edit i went down to 1 brake booster line,and i put the check valve in just a wee bit from the inlet but then today while tidying stuff up i noticed theres another one near the back of the engine bay
do i need both?

Doubt it, I only got one towards the back but I never started with two in the first place!!!

you only need one, I'd take a guess the 2nd one is just in case the first one fails

Well if it did not need 2 they would not have fitted them, early ones had one (mine did) but they changed on the later ones to 2 valves, better to leave it fitted.
