1987 MK2 golf GTI starting problemd
« on: 11 March 2012, 19:33 »
I really need some help with my GTI, mainly the ignition system, I've checked the haynes manuals several times and each time it was pointing to the TCI-H switch unit, so I ordered a brand new one, this still didn't fix the problem. I've checked all the leads to see whether there's power going in and out of them and so far I have found that on the switch unit the green wire and the brown and white wire have no power, next is that the connector that plugs into the distributor has no power at all AND there's no power going to the fuel pump, any help would be great as I just don't have the funds to just throw money at it and hope that new parts'll fix it
