banded steels

hey guys thinking bout getting my 13" steels banded and was just wondering how wide they are standard as the place that does them is saying plus 2 inch.or what is the size bands you can fit on a standard gti without mods?? cheers guys

It is up to you really how wide you want them, the normal is anything from 7-9 inch wide (that i have seen) i wouldnt go crazy as you will need to think about it rubbing on your arches if your car is lowered, i take it you will be running stretch tyres too? If that is the case say good bye to your handling  :laugh: How much are they charging to do the job?

Its about £330 for 2" on all 4. Bit of a silly question but an extra 2" would tht be 8 j? Not really sure tbh.

Needs to be a proper job at the end of the day, not something to be saving money on.

For what they cost you may as well got a nice set of alloys.

cost often depends on the wheel,   as long as you have a big mother of a lathe there not very hard to do.

banding alloys is the hard one
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

na bord of alloys now tbh liking the steelies look. got the 14" gti on my mk3 and some 13" steels on my mk2 gti atm tht do look pretty smart.had so many alloys on so many cars bord of them now.
