I was just wondering if there was a guide on this forum dedicated to what to look for when buying a golf?
Obviously there are the basic things that the majority of people will already know about but there's also the model specific things to look out for, for example common faults to check for and areas to check for rust etc.
The reason I ask is i'm new to the scene and to be quite perfectly honest I know very little about golfs, specifically for me mk2's as that is what i'm currently on the look out for.
When I go to view any potential cars it would help greatly to have a list of things to check over to ensure the car is in a safe and mechanically sound condition.
Obviously you guys know these cars inside outside so some form of buyers guide to help potential buyers such as myself would be a massive help!
Just to note I did try using the search function but it didn't return any results so I apologise if such a guide already exists.
