best companies to call for quote on very modifyed golf

looking like my golf will be needing insurance in the not to distant.

any suggestions on who is worth a call as last time i went to insure it i got the raveing hump with ringing up companies to spend best part of an hour on hold and giveing details to be told NO. 

idealy a company i can get through to quickly and get a yes / no answer to if they'll cover it quickly ( obv if its a yes trawll through the detail to get a price )

Its very modifyed  more a question of whats standard than whats not.

i've just gone through elephant last insurer for 2 years on a mk3 gti 16v with all mods declared and im now paying £346 monthly could have paid £286 if i had the money up front

Brentacre are good for a quick quote and good on mods. I am with Adrian Flux who again quoted well and actually have staff who know the cars and mods.

I'm certain he means paying monthly (i.e. not a lump sum), as in 346 divided by 12 months etc.
