Strange coilovers.
« on: 22 February 2012, 08:18 »
Ok on my bora I have a set of coilys. Not sure on the brand as they came fitted to the car.
When I or the car the bottom part of the coily on the rear ( the bit with the thread and rings on) was removed so it was just the spring in place to make it lower.
As the threaded part of the coilys were in the boot I thought I would fit them propply as I fanceyed abit more clearance at the rear.
I have all my coilys wound all the way to the bottom. Exept on the passenger side rear I have to wind that one up about 20mm or so to have it sit the same as the rest.
Anybody no why this is?

It must be the rings that sit at diferant heights then.
So how come company's can make lowering springs that let your car sit the same all round but coilovers they never do?
It's a pain in the arss coz I wanted to remove the threaded lower part again to go lower again but I can't as it won't sit the same and I will h e no adjustment.
