Iv smashed loads but the genuine splitters are bomb proof

mine hasn't shattered as such just sorta broke a bit 
front of car hit a speed bump...... and its not even lowered

I had one for about 2 meters. Put it on, backed out of the neighbours drive and as the front dropped down the pavement the splitter caught the pavement and snapped the same as above.

Il stick with my standard one, all I ever see is broken VR6 ones.

Well unless I can find a decent and mortgage friendly US spec splitter.

mate the US ones look awful, ben got one on ebay real cheap we tried it on our cars and was upset that we no longer loved them 

Deep ones in genuine formate won't break, mine has had some abuse.
(VR6 to most of you lot on here which is a wrong description because they were standard on all early GTI spec and VR specs and all Anniversarys, late GTI and late VR6 got the standard type)
