Which Gearbox...1.6 Cabby with AFT Engine

So it's not a Gti...but it's a 1.6 Cabby with an AFT engine and a duff gearbox... Grinding sound in reverse so guessing idler has gone and it's easier to just put a new box in...but which one?

Will any 02K gearbox fit my cabby??

I've looked at http://boneybradley.webs.com/thegearboxes.htm and the ratios all seem different...Does this matter...could I fit any 1.6 gearbox straight into the cabby?

Checked my box today when I was under the car and it's got 020 on it!!!

I'm guessing therefore it's had a 2nd hand box already...Would any 020 box fit now then?

Yes its a tall block engine the AFT So it will be a 020 box,  they all have diffrent codes after the 020, but thats diffrent ratios, from the diesel, 1.8, 2.0l etc, but any will fit, and it doesnt matter too much about the code as long as its from a 1.8 or 1.6, the gti box might loose you a bit of torque, but gain speed.
