clutch cable

hi all

sent me mk3 in to the garage to get the clutch done and the man in the garage has just told me that the cable is too short and will not fit back in the gear box is this true??

and do you need to put a new clutch cable on every time you fit a new clutch ??

it is a self ajusting clutch

Yes it will need replacing as they cannot be unadjusted if that makes sense.
