bonnet cable snapped can i open from outside the car

cable has snapped. is there  anyway to operate the mechanism from outside the car.

My car has no grill if thats any help

jack car up stick hand up through radiator pipes and feel for the lever pull towards passenger side and bobs ya uncle i had to do this several times when my cable snapped
