Quite a relief to see other people having the same issues as myself.. I often have to climb over the passenger seat or in through the boot to get to work in the morning.. I've had trouble for a while now, so much so i found the driver side locking barrel coming out with the key, after having snapped off with the force ive been using to open it.
I now need to buy a new locking barrel somehow, does anyone know where is best for this?
Also sometimes when I have managed to unlock my drivers door, the bloody thing won't open. The handle doesn't seem to do anything from inside and out, until the car warms up.
I love my car to bits but i have soooooo many annoying little problems! I need a week or two off work in nice sunny weather to fix it, but thats just not gonna happen anytime soon.

Stupid MK3's, my wifes one froze up thismorning so she took my car!

Looking at the start of the thread with the spraying of deicer, is this not good for the paint?

I coated my door rubbers with some special moisture expelling rubber conditioner a few weeks ago, so far no frozen doors which would suggest its doing its job as they'd normally be stuck by now.
