Dunno bout you but i think the afghan wars coming to a messy messy end! We cannot possibly stay there now! Anyone else seeing this sh!t or is it just me? why is nobody talking about this. 10 years of work and suffering of soldiers and their famillys just to have it blown to smitherines in a matter of minutes by a group of stupid, disrespectful and wreckless AMERICAN "soldiers". They should be hung just for their stupidity! Sorry about the politics but it's really rilled me. Once again the americans lash it up, and i bet you joe c*nt will be the ones left holding the ball...again!

Yes it is crazy. There are many cons and not as many pros. The way the 'war', battle, what ever you want to call it is awful. All these IEDs etc. We are almost powerless due to the ROE in some circumstances. Too many lives have been lost for very little to show.
The PM wants us out of there by 2015 I think...Then we will hand over control to the yanks/Afghan national army, or Afghan national police and the country will spiral back out of control and we'll do it all again.

Yep it sucks, war sucks. Too many innocent people especially children have suffered because of it. Its the common mentality, ''Aslong as my way of life is protected I couldn't give a fcuk about anyone else'' that is all wrong with the world.

I think this topic is like many other that could be bought up. Some people have opinions other don't. I am in the RAF and some of my old friends don't even know there is a war going on, or even know what the military does.

Yep it sucks, war sucks. Too many innocent people especially children have suffered because of it. Its the common mentality, ''Aslong as my way of life is protected I couldn't give a fcuk about anyone else'' that is all wrong with the world.

Well it sort of makes it a little awkward for retired General Sir Mike Jacksons company "Saddleback Gold" if it gets its gold mining licence in Tajikistan, (it might cost more in security) even though he's pumped $2.8 million in backhanders to the Tajik government.  Bless him, all that blood 'n all, its nice to think he's doing his bit for British troops and going to share all that spoils of war money with the people that died to get access to it.

And there was me thinking that the $45 million bridge that the US built from Afghan to Tajik was for humanitarian/freedom/democracy/fluffy kittens purposes and not the gold/silver/tin/lead/copper/iron/lithium/oil/gas resources.

Couldn't agree more! Fed up of people burying their heads in the sand, i understand that it's one of the most uncomfortable topics of conversation but it is important that there is dialogue on this right across the board, whatever happens over the coming year you can be sure of one thing, It's going to get extremely messy. I listen to alot of radio 4 as radio 1 has started to do my head in. Whats going on in afghan right now got mentioned once through the whole day! Visited the american govt website, not a single mention of it (no surprise there then) Everyone seems to think it's just gonna go away. Not gonna happen. We've lost the hearts and minds. It's over. All of a sudden the taliban and the afghan people are united in their response and 10 years of work and BLOOD, husbands, fathers, children, has unravelled before our very eyes in a matter of minutes. THAT IS a crime in itself.

People should have the balls to unite and say enough is enough, sadly though, it's going to take alot more than another man's values and religeon being trampled on and totally disrespected for that to ever happen. I genuinely fear for the human race.
