3" air feed pipe to air box

3" ait feed pipe cut into bumper grill into air box, you think better and more air than dsg mod??? I know not best looking thing but think it will take in more air than dsg mod.

more air name of thegame, had DSG intake on last mk4 1.8t looked same as one i took off wasn't happy £40+.

Could plank off the standard feed, then drill a core into the box down the side and mold in a new bigger intake which then feed to the front or lower vent. I did this, but the best I could manage was a 2.5" pipe with the battery slid to the left (drivers side) a notch, not sure you'd get a 3" in there.
