Can somebody tell me if the cambelt on a 1.8t should be enclosed or is it supposed to be open?
Looking at mine it is open, is this usual? Thanks,

having the belt and pump done next week anyway, so ill get one to be put on then. Just seems strange the way its been left though, as it must of been off a good while.

Stupid me................ I was looking at the Aux belt! Cambelt is covered up. Only just bought the car so getting used to whats what in the engine. Duughhh! Cheers anyway
