I'm tempted to do this as 4G's are quite cheap, but I keep reading about the new XBox coming this summer.

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

Thought new xbox is only going to be announced in q1 next year and only hit the market in 2014... or something I read on engaget, plus they will be building a new and better kinect2 for it.

Not entirely sure they're building a Kinect 2, they've just announced that on Feb 1 you can buy kinect for your PC  :smiley: It'd be a kick in the nuts for all kinect owning customers if they did that.

I've seen a vid of a hacked Kinect sensor (using dev tools) being used to control windows 7, Minority Report stylee.

Was impressive, although a bit buggy.

Yeah that's a bit bodgey dodgy, you can preorder a proper Kinect sensor for Windows on Amazon from Microsoft, to be released 1st Feb :cool:
