At least the guy is being very un-dramatic about it.
I'm just hoping it's a one off incident...
Funnily enough.............. my Mark VI is 2 years old TODAY (Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you.......) and has racked up 65,000 miles.
All was sweetness and light until about 2 months ago....... engine no workee........ new cylinder head, inlet valves, manifold, blah blah blah. Off the road for 3 weeks whilst parts come from Germany. All done under warranty so no financial pain (a known problem apparantly with an inlet valve). 2 weeks ago............ engine no workee again. Same symptoms as before but different problem this time : Inlet Manifold and leaking air so 3 days in workshop with new inlet manifold fitted. All OK again now. Again, all done under warranty (which runs out today........ phew!)
Apart from all that - a great car
