coolent temp sensor
« on: 18 December 2011, 11:00 »
A few weeks ago I had a new silicone tip fitted because the old factory one had a rip in it. i also had the car serviced and all was running fine, the power was back and the 17705 code had not come back either. But, now I got another code 17704, which is the coolent temp sensor I do believe, and now I also have the 17705 code back and there is a loss of power, as it doesn't drive like a remapped car anymore. I have the 1.8t aum gti

Can the 17704 code also cause the 17705 code to reapear?

I only changed the coolent temp sensor about 8 months ago, so I am guessing it has gone again. If I replace it again will this also sort the 17705 code out?

Thanks
