It was ordered from the u.s and did cost a bit more than the sealant you get from VW but was worth it as I had a leak around the sump and will be having the motor rebuilt soon. I have had it for a while now and it seals perfect, not a leak in sight and it's reusable.

It was an excellent fit and I didn't have to waste time making sure that no excess sealant entered into the sump when it was tightened up or waiting for the gasket to dry before filling it with oil.

I used a worth sealant on mine, dried quick and could be used straight away.

I find the gasket to be a nice touch, if like me it was leaking and you needed a fix soon but know you got an engine rebuild in the near future where you will have to inevitably take the sump off again then it saves messing about applying it, waiting for it to dry, removing the crap around it and reapply for next time. The sealant works fine enough though.
