Ok here goes, I am going to attempt to explain this noise and when it is happening to my MK4 GT TDI 1.9L Turbo.
Start the car, using diesel noise, nothing unexplained.
Engage 1st and put a little throttle on and move ever so slighly (I mean just start rolling a tiny amount)
Noise! = sounds like a spluttering, spitfire with a bit of metallic scrape or screech. (yes I am going mad).
Stops when you get a bit more revs on.
Also it can happen at stationary... occurs more when it's cold than when engine hot (optimal temp).
Am taking it into Kwik Fit, but it's not that I dont trust these bods, well.. you know (sorry any good Kwik fit peeps out there).
Anyone any ideas or heard of this?
