I was going to start a new thread but the title of this one fits perfectly!

I'm going to buy a new laptop soon but was wondering how i go about using my itunes account on the new one? Is all my purchased stuff stored online or on the laptop itself? Ie if i download itunes to the new laptop and log in to my account, will everything still be there? Obviously my music will need to be tranfered either from my old laptop or iphone but it's the other stuff i'm bothered about.

Sorry if it sounds dumb but posting on here is about the extent of my computer skills!  :embarassed:

Depnds if you have your music in the Cloud  if not you will need to transfer the itunes music folder. I know when i buy a new mac it's can migrate everything, all settings all accounts etc etc at the touch of a button, not sure about PC's ?

I'm not an itunes user, but when I moved people around at work I think I just copy the itunes folder from c:\program files\ (or where ever you installed it) to the new PC's and et voila it's all there, obviously you need to install itunes on the new PC first then copy that folder.

or use the new "home sharing" option like this:

Also use Easy Transfer Wizard to move all your settings, files etc from the old to new PC, just run it on both PC's (download it for XP or use the file Windows 7 gives you during the wizard) and transfer the data across your home network, as long as both PC's are both on the network at the same time - otherwise use a USB hard drive.
