hi guys put my car on an old fault code reader i have old and cheap one sadly but its thrown up these codes now i dont know if there old ones that havent been cleared so was going to clear and see if thay came back but then read this in the book which made me stop.
" caution erasing the diagnostic trouble codes allows the code reader to delete no only the codes from the vehicles on-board computer, but also "freeze frame" data and manufacturer specific enhanced data, further, the i/m readiness monitor status for all vehicle monitors is reset to not RUN or not COMPLETE status. do not erase the codes before the system has been checked completely by a technicians or yourself.
didnt want to erase them and do something thats going to ruin the car so thought i would check with you guys first heres the fault codes i got from on here.
1) 16955 cruise/brake switch (a)circ malfunction.
2) 17545 long term fuel trim add fuel bank 1 system to rich.
3) 17705 connection turbocharger throttle valve preasure hose.
4) 17947 clutch vacum vent valve switch incorerect signal.
5) 18010 power supply b+ terminal 30 low voltage.
now am i safe to erase these and see if thay come back and am i safe in doing so, also are any of these a lot to be concerned about im no good with all this computer controled stuff im used to old cars not cars that tell you when thay are sick.
