can any1 tell me what this is?

Not figured out how to upload pics yet so ill have to describe it. As you are looking at the engine from the front of the car (8v) on the right hand side of the head there looks to be possibly a sensor. Its blue with a rubber slieve protecting it. Any ideas?

Is the one on the side of the head water temp or oil pressure  oil temp I think is on the filter head.

Its an  oil pressure sensor

I always get oil temp/pressure ones mixed up! 

Water temp is the yellow one on the front of the block that sits on top the hose housing I believe.
