Standard Mk5 Steering wheels?

Why are there two different stock steering wheels for the MK5?
The 4 spoke one and the 3 spoke one... did they phase one out or did you get a choice of the two when you bought a MK5?
Preffere the 4 spoke one

(As above) Golf MK3 & genuine BBS RX 16"wheels, now for sale separately - Just ask for details - Thanks, Les

The 3 spoke wheel might only be on certain trim levels. Mine is a Sportline, not sure what the UK equivalent is, and it has the 3 spoke leather wheel. A mate has the 4 spoke wheel but his is a bog spec van.
