Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

so is there much you can do for easy power on a tdi discovery ones a tdi 200 and ones a tdi300? don't know anything about them apart from they're really really slow on the road. Can you remap diesels that old? or turn the boost up or anything
i'd sign up to a lr forum, but i dont really care that much tbh

Being a cityslicker for my whole life, the idea of driving around in a field seems odd. Fields are for cows, festivals and being out of your box in if you ask me.

Advance the timing and turn up the fueling, as well as various other tricks, like when and how much it's enriched.

Given that motorsport has been taking place all over the country for over 50 years you'd be very wrong.  Maybe you should come out of the city and have a look around - you're missing a lot.  Also Salisbury Plain isn't a field

Cheers DH,

Is there anywhere i can find a eee-jits guide to tweaking disco's?

I know about motorsport round the uk, but over fields/hills offroading seems pointless to me, but i'm a wet lettuce when it comes to getting cold, wet and dirty  :lipsrsealed:

I presume you have never been offroading before then? There's a lot more to it than driving around a field being cold, wet and muddy. It can be very technical and demand a lot of skill behind the wheel.

You should give it a go!

You'll be surprised how much fun it is being on the verge of tipping over driving along a 45 degree sideslope or hooning it up a 40+ft steep slope or even clenching your butt going back down it

You will get just as much of an adrenaline buzz at 5mph than you do round a track at 100mph+

disco tuneing

turn the boost cone round, tweek the smoke screw. = go faster lots of smoke

fit bleed valve get more boost = more goes and less smoke.

then fit bigger IC as the LR one is sh!te = more goes better economy.

then add PROPANE = more goes and more revs

fit a bigger turbo to use all that lovely propane up.  = more goes and a bang at some point
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

i've been to a few pay and play days with my little brother, and a bit of greenlaning.

probably do need some skill to do it well, but its just not for me.

Cheers Danny P
