Attack of the Trip Advisers
« on: 31 October 2011, 21:29 »
Anyone watching on C4 now?

One of the trip advisers is utterly mental. Every tiny little thing went into his review, including the fact the bar girl got his drink wrong initally but went back to get him the right one.

He has a skin complaint, but then said to camera "Why should I tell the hotel" in response to the camera man asking him if he was being unfair.

This bloke even took a tea bag out of the room (complimentay tea and coffee) to see if it would be replaced.

Mental.

And two single-sex couples.

What a heap of freaks.

The nutters in the seafood restaurant didn't do themselves any favours either.

I've been involved in a number of hotel website builds and these guys live in fear of Trip Advisor and rightly so.

Unfortunately in life there will always be people who don't get on and people whose ideas about standards are different to others.

I'm sure the imbecile who was putting pen on the covers never sleeps in the same sheets at home two nights in a row now, does he?
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

Couldn't agree more with DH. Just made me mad watching it (usually typical for a ch4 documentary though!)

*Some* stupid hotel owners just digging themselves deeper and plebs reviewing them.

The joys of the interwebz and "free speech"

Within ~1 month of being in business, my company ended up under attack from a Labour MP as a result of a GROSS misunderstanding on his part - which he then continued his defamation spree. That was 3 years ago - and is still relatively easily found :( It ain't just hotel owners that wish there was a delete button on the net.
