Hang some tires on the sides, and call it "Done"

Well I have had it for a week now and am loving it. I bought it as a run around for the wife and kids.  I have an A3 company car as a daily driver, so far she has not even had a drive in it as I keep nicking it.  It won't win any competitions but I am loving it so far.

I have done some reading up on this site, particularly in the how to section so there will be some new interior and exterior lighting going in soon. I have done plenty of old land rovers in my day so this modern thing will be fun to work on. I can't see it moving on too soon and I like the simplicity of the engine to work on. I can get all the kids in there to help if need be.

What a great little car and a fantastic site to learn from.

See you all in the Mk 3 section soon.

Jon

I bought a 1.4 off a friend at work for £400. it's clean like yours & I've honestly got to say it's one of the best cars I've ever had. I bought a VR6 because it be better on the motorways & a bit nicer inside what with the leather etc but I always love driving the little 1.4 every now & then, sometimes I wonder if I did the right thing buying the VR6 ! lol

Glad you're enjoying it !
