vag com is needed i belive, might be able to do it on vagtacho or something simelar but not sure, also need IMMO3 clocks i belive for the MTE,  however that could be wrong, not sure about lit needles weather theres any restrictions on certain clocsk (taking it this is mk4 were talking about) im sure someone will come along in a min and confirm/tell you that what ive just said is a load of bolocks.
