I love my 99 A4 Avant. Very practical and comfortable.
Will be swapping for a newer version next year. If its as good as my current one (the Mk1 A4) I'll be very happy.
No idea about the 1.8T though as mine is 1.8 non-turbo.

Mine's been a cracker (but then I did have a Corrado before )

Mine has had a few tweaks since I bought it  now it pulls well, bags of torque and when I'm gentle footed I can see 40+mpg quite a lot

Loads of boot space, comfy, quiet, (again, this is comparing to the Corrado so may not be truly reflective ) and the Bose system is very nice to listen to

my best mate has a 2001 1.8t, its surprisingly quick for the size of it. super practicle, massive boot, only complaints i have about it are that its a little boaty in the corners, and the seats are a bit hard.

the inlaws have a 2009 sline, looks awesome but its a diesel

Anyone owned or driven one before?

Going by the number of second hand ones available, I'd say yes.
80% of your posts are total tripe, as they are mostly replies to sh1te posts created by the morons that, unfortunately this forum attracts.
