What oil

I'm about ready to change my oil put mobil one 10w40 in it last time didn't really like it much I need a good quality oil, what do you lot put in your vr's?

Not a vr but same oil, quantum from vw. Far cheaper than all that stuff u pay for the label in halfrauds, and is recommended by vw.  :smiley:

I won't buy it from them anyway Im a mechanic so get good discount, trouble I'm having is with the oil temps being to high, need something that's gonna work well at high temps alot of oils breakdown at high temps which is the problem I'm having now thanks for the advice !

Quantum 10/40 semi synth is what I would use.

So many suggestions  :grin:

Quantum 10w/40 semi synthetic is the recommended stuff from VW themselves as it's the right oil for the engine's seals and gaskets. It's about £18 for 5l from vw so it's cheap too, but if you get an even bigger discount the much better  :smiley:
