Exactly, they are highlighting this in order to educate people about where they stand.
So many people just think that if you hit a burglar then you will get prosecuted.

In may 2010 Tohseef Shah spray painted a british was memorial with "islam will dominate osama is coming" he was fined £50 and walked free from court. In november 2010 emdadur choudary burned a poppy during the two minutes silence he was to given a fine, £500 and walked free from court. Today to men have been sentanced to 12 months in prison for spray painting a poppy on a mosque. DISGRACE!

Just curious. Are people saying that it's a disgrace that the British men got 12 months, or that the Muslims got a milder sentence?

Hopefully the fact that the Muslims got a milder sentace, the person(s) defacing a mosque got everything they deserve, unfortunately our justice/legal system is to spineless to punish the Muslims suitably through fear of the label of being racist.
