Rear Speaker cable runs

Where do the rear speaker cables appear from out of the trim?

Just got back into Golfs. Rears are there, but the cables int (feck knows why, I dont wanna know  )

How do they pop out to say ello?

I pretty sure the wires run either side of the car, under the plastic door sill trims, why not take them off (carefully not to snap the plastic clips) an follow them from there

Ill have a search. Fronts dont work either. Im assuming the chap before me had a nice system in there. Where as old fart me only wants to listen to the wireless!

They should go along the edge of the floorpan under the carpet right back under the boot carpet to the back of the boot near the tail lights and emerge from behind the boot carpets if you have them, and then go up to the back of the rear shelf supports then forward to the speakers.

The standard looms for the MK2 rear speakers come out from behind the black cardboard panels either side of your boot. underneath your side shelves that house the speakers

If you wanna find them just remove the clips and look behind these two panels. they terminate in a black 2 pin female connector if original.
