Golf 6 Problem
« on: 03 October 2011, 10:13 »
Hi Guys,

my cars just had a service since during service it was discovered i had a slight oil leak on turbo return pipe which was caused by a faulty bolt.

I have taken my car on the motorway today and the digital tem guage gave me a reading of 115 degrees something which i have never seen.

also the car seems to idle slighlty rough when stationary - normaly it would idle @ 750/850 today it has been diling @ 1000.

Any help on what possible causes would be very appreciated - btw its a diesel unit :)

You have reported this excessive oil temperature before in the TDI section if you remember back to January this year?

People with TDI Golf's - I think i have a problem

If this problem has only developed since the dealer has had their fingers around it take it back

Please add your car spec to your signature then we know which model you are talking about?

It might be doing a re-gen it does that every so often of the DPF filter. Idles funny, keeps telling you to change down.  Temp is hotter.
