especially when you can just make your own headlining

That will be the plan! Rip it out and get some dye

TBH i think i'd be happy with a 130 then try and mod up to around 200bhp, remaps, miltek, air intake... any other suggestions to hit that?

130 is a good choice, even more so with a remap.

To hit 200bhp you need a bigger turbo and a FMIC

I had a Anni early last year bought from a friend who was in need of some cash sharpish so me and my dad went half wax on it to earn a few quid.I personally couldnt afford to keep the car at the time for myself as it was a cracking motor 150bhp tdi with a remap in met black. It was really quick but for what it was there really over priced compared to some better spec Gt-tdi or 20vt.Personally I think the Gt-tdi is far better value and can be made a far better spec than a Anni but the Anni is slowy coming down in value now more so the 20vt due to insrance costs and fuel they are nice but alot to pay just for that Anni status.

I just picked up a GT TDI 130 on a 52 plate, my first diesel I have had and I am very impressed. Got it for a good price so some spare cash for wheels, full service etc and remap
The low down torque even standard is very impresive and i reckon it would give my old Ibiza 20VT and Mk3 16 v a good run for its money. The best bit is 45+ mpg and £120 a yr road tax......
Anni's are very nice but still pricey, you could buy GT tdi and add some bit to make it look as nice as an Anni - IMO!

the black headlining is a nice touch on the anni's, vw are muppets for giving them all cream headliners

but i don't think they are worth the extra over a gttdi tbh.

Definitely on the list of things to do!

If your worried about getting 22mpg...... I get 35mpg out of my 1.8T when i'm driving carefulish. Which i think is pretty damn good when i can boot it as well!

No xenons just black normal headlights and they come with climate as standard.
Get a late model high spec GT
