i've started preparing my mk1 golf for a 2litre engine doing the brakes, suspension etc and now i'm nearing the stage of needing an engine. i know that the 9A engines from a passat or corrado will fit but is there any others, or is there anything with more potential than this for tuning that will fit into the bay of a mk1 without major surgury? has audi got anything to offer?
